About
My path to mediation has been shaped by clinical experience, executive leadership, and a lifelong pursuit of understanding how people navigate conflict and make decisions during times of change.
Early in my career, I worked as a clinician with at-risk youth and families. That experience showed me how conflict, stress, and unclear boundaries can affect not only individuals but entire family systems. It also revealed something equally important: when conversations are structured, expectations are clear, and emotions are managed thoughtfully, people are far more capable of making constructive decisions.
Later, as a healthcare executive serving Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida, I worked closely with business, civic, and community leaders. My role required building trust across diverse perspectives and balancing organizational priorities with broader community needs. Those years strengthened my ability to listen carefully, remain composed, and guide discussions toward practical, mutually workable solutions.
People make better decisions when they feel more coherent. When stress is high, perspective narrows and positions can harden into a fight-or-flight response. Research consistently shows that when heart rate slows and breathing deepens, the body's stress response eases and cognitive clarity improves. In that more coherent state, people are better able to evaluate options and reach balanced decisions.
My approach is grounded and impartial. I provide a structured process that helps parties move through difficult conversations with focus and respect, ensuring both individuals are heard and that decisions are made intentionally rather than reactively.
As a mediator, I remain neutral and do not take sides or impose outcomes. I guide the process, maintain balance, and help parties identify workable solutions while remaining impartial to the outcome. Attorneys and clients can expect preparation, professionalism, and steady facilitation.
Change is rarely easy, but with the right structure and environment, it can be navigated with clarity and composure. My role is to provide a calm, equitable setting where sound, durable agreements can be reached.
